La industria de la moda considera que la fibra de alpaca es una de las fibras más ecológicas, naturales y suaves del mundo. Es apreciada por su tacto sedoso y lujoso y tiene una menor tendencia a formar bolitas. Esta fibra proviene de pequeños agricultores artesanales de la sierra peruana que trabajan con métodos agrícolas tradicionales y prestan especial atención a la sostenibilidad.

  • Cuidado: lavar a mano con agua fría y detergente suave. Darle forma mientras está húmedo y dejar secar en posición horizontal.
  • Como ocurre con todos los productos hechos a mano, existen ligeras variaciones que hacen de cada pieza una obra de arte y verdaderamente única.

En la historia peruana más antigua, encontrará ejemplos del vínculo entre los incas y la alpaca. Los incas valoraban más la fibra de alpaca que el oro o la plata. El conocimiento y la artesanía del hilado y el tejido se han transmitido de generación en generación, lo que ha dado lugar al rico y diverso patrimonio textil del Perú. Los nuevos patrones se combinan con los métodos tradicionales, lo que da un toque innovador sin perder la herencia ética.

La alpaca vive en su mayor parte sin fronteras en las tierras altas de los Andes peruanos y no sufre daño alguno durante el proceso de esquila. Sus suaves patas acolchadas son delicadas con el terreno herbáceo y pastan sin destruir el sistema de raíces de la zona. La alpaca es el único animal que produce hasta 28 colores naturales y se puede mezclar en una gama infinita de tonos naturales, desde el negro intenso hasta los castaños cálidos y el blanco nieve. Se tiñe fácilmente de cualquier color y siempre conserva su brillo natural.

La alpaca es flexible y suave al tacto y, debido a su peso pluma, es ultraligera. La alpaca es más suave que la cachemira y más cálida y resistente que la lana de cordero. Contiene bolsas de aire microscópicas que crean prendas ligeras con excelentes propiedades aislantes. Es una fibra completamente natural y no se utilizan productos químicos agresivos en su producción.

New patterns are combined with traditional methods, giving an innovative touch without losing the ethical heritage.The alpaca live mostly without any boundaries in the highlands of the Peruvian Andes and are not harmed during the shearing process. Their soft padded feet are gentle on the grass terrain and they graze without destroying the root system of the area. Alpaca is the only animal that produces up to 28 natural colors and can be blended into an infinite array of natural shades from inky black to warm chestnuts and snowy white. It is easily dyed in any color and always retains its natural luster.Alpaca is supple and smooth to the touch and because of the featherweight, it’s ultra light. Alpaca is softer than cashmere and warmer and stronger than lamb’s wool. It contains microscopic air pockets which create lightweight clothing with excellent insulating properties. It is a completely natural fiber and there is no use of harsh chemicals in production.
