Lino

Linen is a natural fiber made from the stalk of the flax plant (Linum usitatissimum), one of the oldest cultivated crops in human history. The process of transforming flax into linen involves retting, drying, and scutching to extract the long, strong fibers. Flax grows well in cooler climates with minimal water and chemical input, making linen a relatively low-impact textile choice compared to other conventional fibers.

Linen is known for its breathability, durability, and distinct texture. It naturally resists bacteria, wicks moisture, and becomes softer over time. Commonly used in apparel, home textiles, and accessories, linen is prized for its effortless look and seasonless appeal. It is fully biodegradable and can be composted at the end of its life cycle when untreated.
