Wonena Marketplace Tax Policies
You are responsible for identifying your Tax obligations in addition to the calculation, remittance, and reporting of all taxes within your obligation, regardless of your participation in Wonena’s Tax Calculations.
- In some circumstances, Wonena may, consistent with the applicable law, calculate, collect, and remit (as Wonena) applicable national, state, or local sales and use taxes, goods, and services taxes (GST), or value added taxes (VAT) (collectively “Taxes”) on orders destined to specific locations. For more information about these specific locations, see Wonena Marketplace Withheld Tax
- For Taxes and other transaction-based charges on orders destined to non-Marketplace Tax Collection jurisdictions within your elected country, Wonena agrees to inform you in order to remit to the appropriate tax authority. Here is the latest list of states in the US with no-Marketplace sales collection jurisdictions.
- Wonena does not report or remit Taxes to any government on behalf of any seller. Sellers remain responsible for any ongoing remittance and/or reporting requirements they may have in connection with Marketplace Withheld Tax or Wonena’s Tax Calculation Service.
Except as otherwise provided in the Wonena Seller Agreement (the “Agreement”), you agree that Wonena is not obligated to determine your tax obligation, whether taxes apply, and Wonena will not be responsible to calculate, collect, report, or remit any seller obligated taxes arising from any transaction. However, if a taxing authority requires us to pay any of your taxes, you will promptly reimburse us for the amount paid.
Taxes on Fees and Payments
You are responsible for all fees outlined in this Agreement, which do not include taxes. You will settle any applicable taxes imposed on these fees. Payments to Wonena under this Agreement will be made without any deductions or withholdings (including but not limited to cross-border withholding taxes), as mandated by law. If any deductions or withholdings are necessary, you will ensure that the net amount received by Wonena equals the agreed-upon payment, by providing any additional amounts required.
Shipping Products Internationally
When dispatching products from a country other than the designated origin country (the chosen country), you assume the role of the importer of goods into the chosen country and are accountable for settling all import duties, taxes, and customs fees (referred to collectively as "Customs Fees''). If you dispatch a product to an address beyond your chosen country, typically, you are regarded as the exporter, while the purchaser assumes the role of the importer. The seller is liable for export Customs Fees (if applicable), while the buyer is responsible for any import Customs Fees associated with their purchase. Any Customs Fees paid by either party (if applicable) are separate from the sales proceeds collected by Wonena. For further information on shipping products internationally, refer to Obligations as a Wonena International Seller .
